Polyslope S
The Polyslope S system is an advanced and complete solution designed for constructing and stabilizing reinforced steep slopes, particularly at angles up to 70°. This system not only ensures long-term slope stability but also seamlessly integrates environmental considerations, making it a superior alternative to traditional retaining structures like stone or concrete walls. The Polyslope S system is composed of four key components: local fill material (if compactable), geosynthetic reinforcement, formwork elements, and erosion protection grids.
The geosynthetic reinforcement elements in the Polyslope S system is provided by high-quality materials such as MIRAGRID® GX and MIRAGRID PEC. MIRAGRID GX is ideal for free-draining sandy and gravelly soils, offering excellent interaction properties, while MIRAGRID PEC is specifically suited for cohesive soils, reducing excess pore water pressure and improving shear resistance in the reinforced fill. These reinforcements are crucial for ensuring the stability and durability of the slope structure, with a lifespan of up to 120 years.
Shuttering elements in the system consist of prefabricated 70° steel grid angles that allow for precise slope geometry and ease the installation. Inside the shuttering elements, C-shaped MIRAGRID Green ensures the connection to the reinforcement element and builds the base to blend seamlessly into the natural landscape, preventing soil erosion while supporting natural vegetation growth.
The Polyslope S system is highly versatile and suitable for various applications, including greened steep slopes, bridge ramps, avalanche and rockfall barriers, and noise barriers as well as landslide repairs. This system offers an aesthetically pleasing for reinforced steep slopes solution that can be easily installed and integrates effortlessly into natural surroundings.
