Position overview

Working in a highly matrixial context, the role reports directly to the Chief HR Officer and indirectly to the Managing Director of the region. You will be a member of the Human Resources Leadership team with other regional HR leaders as well as with corporate functions heads (Talent and OD, Global HR). You will also be a key member of the regional management team and as a true HR Business Partner, you will support the business leaders and employees of the different sites located in the EMEA region (Egypt, France, Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands).

As the HR Regional Director, you will play a pivotal leadership role that combines strategic oversight with a hands-on approach to managing the human resources functions across multiple locations within the EMEA region. This role is integral to driving organizational success through effective people management, talent development, and alignment of HR practices with business objectives. The HR Regional Director will be responsible for crafting and executing HR strategies, ensuring compliance with labor laws, fostering a positive work environment, and enhancing the capabilities of the HR team through superior coaching and development.

This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who is passionate about strategic leadership and hands- on management, and who excels in coaching and developing high-performing teams. The HR Regional Director will play a crucial role in driving the regional HR agenda and contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies that align with the company's goals and regional business needs, while analyzing regional HR metrics and trends to inform decision-making and strategic planning.

  • Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day HR operations to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery, ensuring compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations within the region.

  • Employee Relations: Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to HR managers and business leaders, and implementing HR policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.

  • Team Development and Coaching: Provide exceptional coaching and mentoring to HR managers and team members, design and deliver training programs to build HR competencies, and foster a culture of continuous learning and development.

  • Change Management: Lead and support organizational change initiatives, ensuring effective communication and minimal disruption, while championing HR projects that drive business transformation.

  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with regional and corporate stakeholders, act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, and facilitate effective communication between regional HR teams and corporate HR functions.

  • Talent Management: Drive initiatives related to talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and succession planning to ensure a high-performing workforce.

  • Workplace Culture: Foster a workplace culture focused on high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment with corporate and regional goals and performance metrics.

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5-8 years in a regional or multi- site leadership role.

  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance long-term vision with hands-on execution.

  • Demonstrated experience in coaching and developing HR professionals, with a proven track record of enhancing team performance.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices for multiple countries.

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • International and multicultural environment experience is required. You must also be fluent in English.
