Position overview

The Manager of Accounting and Finance is responsible for ensuring the production and the distribution of financial and operational information for Solmax International, analyzing financial results against objectives and budgets, identifying items requiring correction, making recommendations to the Regional Controller, and participating in the implementation of departmental action plans in line with organizational objectives.

Key responsibilities

  • Review and analyze financial statements for compliance with Accounting Standards and ensure timely issuance.

  • Supervise all accounting work for financial statement preparation and implement control mechanisms for accounts payable, fixed assets, and inventories.

  • Manage financial information related to manufacturing cost and validate physical inventory counts.

  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures for internal control to protect company assets, including monitoring procedures and policies.

  • Forecast and monitor cash flows for proper liquidity management, ensure compliance with payment and expense authorization policies, and approve cash flows disbursement.

  • Utilize integrated information systems for financial information preparation and provide analyses to various departments.

  • Present financial information timely and manage administrative expenses in line with organizational objectives.

  • Implement and comply with government requirements regarding consumption taxes, income corporate taxes, and participate in R&D claims, credit, insurance management, and preparation of monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and year-end audits.

Qualifications and skills

  • Professional accounting designation (CPA) (Preferred)

  • 7 years' experience as a controller in the manufacturing sector

  • Mastery of IT tools such as Excel and PowerBi and mastery of IFRS accounting standards

  • Expertise in a manufacturing environment and demonstrate leadership and initiative.

  • In-depth expertise in integrated information systems (ERP) and strong analytical and organisational skills and ability to manage priorities.
