Position overview

As a Purchaser, will be a member of the EMEA purchasing team with focus on regional suppliers (Egypt + middle East) and the direct needs of the plant in 6th of October city but with an important role in sourcing for other group sites as well. The role will assist in organizing EMEA-wide tenders for various materials and services.

For polymers and masterbatches, this position will be the linking-pin with regional suppliers of PE, PP and MB for the region.

Key responsibilities

Requirements planning in agreement with the requirements manager and cost-effective procurement for all needs of the Egyptian plant. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Creation of orders in ERP, coordination and monitoring of the related order processing, in particular follow-up of deadlines.

  • Invoice control in collaboration with the finance/accounting department for incoming invoices in case of deviations • Creation of requests and evaluations of supplier offers, Conduct price negotiations.

  • Monitor the incoming shipments and customs clearance process closely, and prepare the legal forms (Form 4, Form 4, other declaration forms) for bank and customs.

  • Allocate orders for supplies and services based on requirements plans and region strategy.

  • Support EMEA Purchasing Manager in categories optimization (data analysis & tendering)

  • Develop relationship with key suppliers of the region, provides EMEA purchasing Manager updated information.

  • Conduct market research to keep abreast of emerging trends and business opportunities.

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • Business level English required.

  • Ideally, 4 years in a purchasing role in similar industries (polymers).

  • The ideal candidate distinguishes him/herself by high customer's orientation, fellowship, and cooperation readiness as well as by technical and social competence and is a distinct team player.

  • Negotiation talent and perseverance, able to influence without power.

  • High degree in positive energy, integrity, loyalty, and motivation ability.

  • (S)He possesses good abilities to communicate and presentation abilities and is ready, communicate with all places of the whole enterprise group openly and effectively to.
