Position overview
The Value Engineer is a technical expert responsible for specifying Solmax’s Value Added Products (VAP) product range in the America continent. This position is in charge of the technical communications required to make sure the product offered meets the customer’s expectation and must work on technical recommendations when required.
Key responsibilities
Conduct customer meetings to understand their needs.
Manage long-term project pipeline and strategic accounts.
Deliver technical presentations and participate in trade shows.
Promote Solmax’s technical expertise through conferences and articles.
Ensure Solmax’s growth and profitability in sales.
Expand company exposure and technical capabilities.
Foster development of new products/services/systems and enhance customer and engineer network.
Qualifications and skills
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, statistics, and proficiency in web analytics tools such as Bachelor’s degree in civil, Geotechnical, or Engineering background.
Knowledge of geosynthetics applications
Experience in project design (asset).
Fluent in English, spoken and written. Other languages (French, Spanish) are an asset.
Interest in communicating, specifying, and selling.
Ability to integrate and apply technical knowledge.
Ability to speak in public and give presentations. Great skills in writing.
Must be available for travel (typical travel 40-50% of his time).
