Position overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supply Chain Planner to join our team in Bezons, France. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient management of inventory levels and production planning to meet customer demands and optimize working capital. The successful candidate will report to the EMEA Supply Chain Director and work closely with various cross-functional teams. We are currently building a new facility to expand our capacity. Initially, the planner will work with the existing planner on continuous improvement initiatives, management of our 3rd party manufacturer and intercompany orders, and back-up planning responsibilities for the French facility. Once the new facility is finished, they will take responsibility for their own production line scheduling. This role is based in Bezons until the end of 2026 after which the role will be based in our new facility in Les Mureaux.
Key responsibilities
Ensure stock availability by managing inventory levels and production planning of 'make to stock' inventories.
Plan and schedule 'make to order' production to ensure competitive lead-times.
Optimize working capital through managed inventory levels and cost-efficient production planning while ensuring high availability and OTIF (On-Time In-Full) levels.
Manage inventory levels at a 3rd party manufacturer and place purchase orders to replenish stocks.
Maintain stocked inventory levels by setting and managing min/max and target stock parameters.
Communicate availability and lead-times to customer service and balance priorities with the sales director.
Participate in the annual inventory count and contribute to supply chain continuous improvement initiatives.
Act as a point of contact for sales and customer service queries.
Qualifications and skills
Experience in production planning and scheduling in a complex manufacturing operation.
Experience in participating in a monthly S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) process.
Demonstrable project management experience identifying and enacting operational improvements with quantifiable benefits.
Experience in participating in continuous improvement initiatives. Proficiency in data and metric interpretation and reporting.
Advanced skills in complex Excel™ analytics, including capacity analysis, scenario modeling, and decision impact quantification.
Experience in a matrix organization using indirect influencing skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate with all levels inside the organization.
Experience in planning with SAP™ required; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics™ is advantageous.
