Position overview

As HSE Manager Hengelo you are part of the QHSE team and you are responsible for the safety of our site in Hengelo. You are the point of contact for various stakeholders inside and outside the organization. With your specific knowledge, excellent communication skills and enthusiasm, you can advise at every level and get people moving to ensure the essence of safety on the workfloor. In this, you are the drive, an inspirator and a motivator. You ensure and maintain legal and regulatory compliance of the site

Key responsibilities

  • Drive & manage the local safety improvement program to ensure a safe work-place

  • Establish a culture of safe behavior and accountability for maintaining safe practices

  • Promote awareness of matters related to safety, health and environmental awareness;

  • Audit the HSE standards and implementing risk assessments according to the audit plan;

  • Report of the HSE leading- and lagging kpi’s to local and regional management;

  • Be a liaison with external parties concerning health, safety and environment;

  • Share knowledge of and educate colleagues on HSE topics.

  • Contribute to the EMEA management system and local management system;

Qualifications and skills

  • Scientific degree Bachelor and at least HVK (safety education);

  • Experience in the HSE work field (five years’ experience in a similar environment);

  • Knowledge about HSE legislation and ISO standards (ISO 9001/14001/45001);

  • Good communication skills (English is a must);

  • Excellent computer skills;

  • Good collaborator;

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;

  • Lives within 30 kilometers from Hengelo.
