Position Overview:
As a Global Internal Communication Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies that promote engagement, alignment, and transparency across our organization. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring consistent messaging, facilitating information flow, and fostering a strong company culture across diverse teams and locations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute global internal communication strategies and create comprehensive communication plans that align with the organization's global goals, values, and objectives. Identify the key message and target the correct audiences and appropriate communication channels to effectively engage employees across different regions, languages and cultures.
Develop compelling content that resonates with our employees worldwide.
Manage global communication channels. Oversee and optimize the global internal communication platforms such as the intranet, VivaEngage Communities, collaboration tools and explore different new technologies available for internal communication.
Partner with regional communication teams, senior management, and local representatives to understand their communication needs and align strategies with local cultures and practices. Build strong relationships and act as a trusted advisor to ensure consistent messaging and effective global communication practices.
Support change management initiatives and play a key role in communicating organizational changes, transformation initiatives, and strategic projects to employees globally. Develop tailored communication plans and materials that address regional sensitivities, engage employees, and foster a smooth transition.
Promote global employee engagement. Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement on a global scale. Foster a positive and inclusive company culture by designing global programs, recognition initiatives, feedback mechanisms, and employee surveys that resonate with diverse teams and locations.
Measure the impact and performance of internal communications.
Monitor the governance of internal communications.
Qualifications and skills:
Excellent writing and storytelling skills
Creative, resourceful, autonomous and independent
Organized and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Bilingualism is essential in both English and French.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Human Resources or any related field.
5-7 years of relevant experience in internal or external communications
Proficiency with Microsoft Sharepoint, VivaEngage and Microsoft Office suite
