Overview of your role

The operator runs the machines, checking that the products (geomembranes and rod) comply with quality requirements. His tasks may vary according to the processes used. They may involve feeding raw materials to the machines, adjusting molding parameters according to established guidelines, performing visual quality control of the parts produced, diagnosing problems (troubleshooting), performing minor equipment maintenance and completing the required production reports.

YOU MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ON ROTATING 12H SHIFTS (work is declined on a 7 working days scheduled out of 14, paid full time + Overtime)

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Adjust equipment to meet production needs

  • Know the different products and raw materials

  • Diagnose and document problems encountered on finished products and inform the quality manager of non-conformities

  • Communicate changes/problems to shift replacement

  • Meet production targets and deadlines

  • Minimize loss of production materials and machine downtime

  • Respect ISO 9001 and 14001 procedures related to the department

  • Actively participate in the plant's recycling program

Qualifications and Skills

  • Professional diploma in production equipment operation (essential) or DES with equivalent experience

  • 3 years' experience in the plastics industry (extruders being an important asset) or in manufacturing production

  • Valid lift card

  • Spoken and written French

  • Team spirit

  • Sense of initiative

  • Attention to detail

  • Good problem-solving skills
