Position overview

The Production Manager is part of the manufacturing team in Rechlin and reports directly to the plant manager. The core responsibility is to organize the production according required ISO standards in terms of safety, quality and efficiency. The Production Manager leads his team to produce according customer requirements and is constantly involved in optimizing the efficiency of the production department.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure the production plan is executed, and products are delivered on time, at the right quantity, according to specifications and under required safety standards

  • Timely retrieval (scheduling) of raw and auxiliary materials for further processing in production

  • Analyzing production and quality results, driving improvement of work processes, safety and occupational health, efficiency increase & Reporting of key figures

  • Manage the production teams with focus on motivation, promotion, training and development of production employees regarding productivity and quality improvement measures, motivation in the area of safety behavior in the entire production area

  • Supporting the management systems by participating in CIP measures, Management and optimization of recipes and running modes in cooperation with interested parties

  • Creating and revising risk assessments in the production area

  • Preparation, monitoring and evaluation of tests on the production facilities in cooperation with technology manager

  • Participation in the on-call duty of the production management, participation in the health and safety committee

Qualifications and skills

  • Academic degree as a mechanical-engineer or similar, who has at least 3 years of experience in such a role

  • Knowledge of digital time attendance and personnel planning software

  • Foreign languages: good level of professional English required

  • Personal skills: good organizational skills, good leadership skills, proactivity, perseverance, team spirit, adaptability, tenacity and curiosity

  • Flexibility and willingness for on-call duty
